To improve the supply of clean drinking water to Pamtsho-Jungzhina and surrounding areas in North Thimphu, a new 1.4 MLD Water Treatment Plant (WTP) is nearing completion. The WTP is designed to process and supply treated water in compliance with national drinking water quality standards.
Three reservoir tanks with capacities of 100 cubic meters for Jagom and 460 cubic meters for Pamtsho-Jungzhina — along with a new Water Distribution Network, are also being developed to ensure efficient delivery of treated water. Once operational, WTP will benefit the residents of Pamtsho-Jungzhina, and Jagom. This will support the equitable and reliable distribution of treated water to households and public infrastructure.
