Brief Background on the Institute:

Year of Establishment and Journey of the School:

The School was established in 1980. The school has an area of 5.82 acres of land. It is located below the IT Park. From a school of small classrooms accommodating 150 children in class PP in its initial stage, Babesa Primary School presently accommodates 753 students. Three sections of classes PP are accommodated in the old academic block, I and II in the New 8 Unit Classrooms and III to VI in the 12 Unit Classrooms. It has a small playground. The school is accessible by motor road. There is adequate water supply, proper sanitation system, and electricity.

The first Head teacher was Mr. Akhey Dorji (1980-1986)

The second Head teacher was Mr. Mindu Dukpa (1986-1992)

The third Head teacher was Mr. Rinchen (1992-1997)

The fourth Principal was Mr. Lhagey Tshering (1997 July - 2014)

The present Principal is Mr. Tshering Dorji (2015-till date)
