In line with the Admission Policy given in the 30th Education Policy Guidelines and Instructions (EPGI), 2012 and subsequent Advisory Note for Student Admissions vide Notification No. DSE/SPCD/ADM (01)/2017, dated 25th January, 2017 issued by the Ministry of Education, Thimphu Thromde hereby notifies the parents of children eligible for 2023 Pre-Primary (PP) Admission in Thimthrom Schools to kindly note the following important points:

1. PP Admission Form for 2023 shall be made available by Schools concerned through various social media platforms and parent-teacher groups’ w.e.f 18th October to 18th November, 2022. The form will also be made available in Thimphu Thromde official website at http://www.thimphucity.bt/announcements/notification-pre-primary-pp-admission-academic-year-2023          
2. Parents must submit the duly completed PP Admission Form(s) along with the required documents to the respective Schools on or before 18th November, 2022;
3. All the government schools in Thimphu Thromde will carry out the Pre-Primary (PP) Admission for 2023 academic year on 12th December, 2022 and submit the PP Admission Report to Thimphu Thromde on 13th December, 2022;
4. The children who complete Five Years of Age on 5th February, 2023 are eligible for admission in Pre-Primary (PP) Class for Academic Year 2023 based on the availability of seats in the schools concerned. If the number of registered applicants exceeds the actual intake capacity of the  school, the admission shall be given to older children as notified by the Ministry of Education vide letter No.DSE/SPCD/ADM(1.1)/2020/1837, dated November 19, 2020;
5. The list of documents required for Pre-primary (PP) Admission are provided in the PP Admission Form 2023 in line with Admission Policy given by the Ministry of Education;
6.
