The government announces nationwide lock down starting today, following report of a COVID-19 positive case in Gelephu, who came in close contact with people in Thimphu, Gelephu, Paro and those along the way.

Bhutan has confirmed the first case of Coronavirus this morning. The patient is a 76-year-old tourist from the United States of America. He had entered the country from Paro International Airport, after embarking Drukair flight KB241 from Guwahati, India

His Majesty The King graced the 112th National Day celebration in Thimphu today. His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen, His Royal Highness the Gyalsey and members of the Royal Family also attended the celebrations.
