A major new water project has been completed by Thimphu Thromde to improve water services in the Pamtsho and Jungshina areas. With a total investment of Nu. 123.44 million, the project was funded by the Asian Development Bank under the Bhutan Water Flagship Program Support Project (WFPSP) and carried out in two packages:
1. Package One: Design, Build, Operate, and Transfer project for a 1.4 million liters per day (MLD) Water Treatment Plant at Dechencholing, valued at Nu. 53.12 million, was successfully executed by E.W. Construction Private Limited.
2. Package Two: Construction of a comprehensive water supply system for the Pamtsho and Jungshina areas, valued at Nu. 70.32 million, was carried out by Bhutan Engineering Company Private Limited.
