Yangchenphug Higher Secondary School bagged this year’s Champion School Trophy for their outstanding performance in the athletics meet, held as part of the Thimphu Thromde Schools Sports Meet (TSSM).
Thimphu Thromde successfully organized a three-day Thromde Schools Athletics Meet from 29th to 31st July, under the theme “Empowering Youth, Building Future through Sports.” Students from all secondary schools under Thimphu Thromde actively participated in this engaging and spirited event.
Over the three days, students enthusiastically competed in a variety of athletic events, showcasing not only their sporting talents but also the values of respect, perseverance, unity, and sportsmanship.
Following the athletics meet, students will continue to participate in various ball games and indoor games from 2nd to 31st August. This Sports Meet aims to promote physical health, mental wellbeing, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among our students.
Approximately 3,000 students including officials and escort teachers will be participating in the overall Thimphu Thromde Sports Meet.
