On the occasion of World Water Day, Thimphu Thromde joined hands with relevant stakeholders for the Nationwide River Cleaning Initiative under One Thimphu : Bhutan’ Heart Project to carry out a meaningful stream cleaning campaign.
Together, we cleaned key streams across the city, including Dechenphu Stream, Taba Stream, Samteling Stream, Chubachu Stream, Olakha Rongchu, and Ngapi Rongchu. We are pleased to share that these streams have now been officially handed over to Thimphu Thromde for continued maintenance, monitoring, and sustainable management.
We were also proud to be part of this important initiative, contributing towards the Nationwide River Cleaning Initiative and reinforcing our shared commitment to protecting our water resources.
